June 26, 2010
Gopher Flats Sportsmans Club will host their monthly high power match on the Big Bore Range, Saturday, June 26, 2010.
Match fees are $15 for non-club members and $10 for Gopher Club members. The Gophers will provide lunch for $5.00.
Course of fire for this match will be the JCG “A” Course; 5 sighters, 30 rounds for record. We will fire once with the M1 Garand and once with the '03 Springfield or Vintage rifle. Other rifles will be welcomed as well. SR targets will be used for the M1/Springfield matches. CMP rules will apply. Shooters will stand for the rapid fire stage prior to assuming prone firing position. This is a training program to get rifle zeroes and experience for this year’s Western Games.
There will be an additional event starting this month. After the noon break for chow, we will host an M1 Carbine match. This will be a 100-yard event fired on the SR-1 target. Course of fire will be standing, sitting rapid, prone rapid and slow prone. 50 rounds for record plus 5 sighters. Your $15 buys you all three matches. Cheaper than a baby sitter.
